RecycleIT Support the Goals
In 2015, 193 world leaders developed and adopted the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals with the aim of tackling poverty, inequality, and climate change by 2030.
These 17 goals, which are also known as the Global Goals or SDGs, are highly ambitious. To help businesses achieve their goal targets, each SDG has a blueprint for how to achieve a better and more sustainable future, addressing the global challenges we all face. RecycleIT are fully committed to all the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of our Sustainability Project on both a local and National Scale.
Target
Promote development-oriented policies that support productive activities, decent job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation, and encourage the formalization and growth of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises, including through access to financial services
Action Taken
Proportion of informal employment in non-agriculture employment, by sex
Proportion of youth (aged 15-24years) not in education, employment, or training
Performance Data
RecycleIT Ltd identifies this goal as a priority to increase its positive impact on SDG 8 in its operations by providing a living wage to all employees.
We also create jobs and promote decent work and conditions to all workers.
We have a firm policy against unfair hiring and recruitment practices. We also have a modern slavery act in place
Target
Support positive economic, social, and environmental links between urban, peri-urban and rural areas by strengthening national and regional development planning
Action Taken
RecycleIT Ltd work in partnership with organisations to assist them in their work to improve communities, neighbourhoods, and lives by providing refurbished IT Equipment
We develop and participate in a sustainable community that brings together relevant stakeholders encouraging closed loop thinking

In the last 18 months we have donated over 45K of IT equipment of sustainable product to our communities
Target
By 2030, achieve the sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources Target
Achieve the environmentally sound management of chemicals and all wastes throughout their life cycle, in accordance with agreed international frameworks, and significantly reduce their release to air, water and soil in order to minimise their adverse impacts on human health and the environment
By 2030, substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse
Action Taken
Company identifies as a priority to reduce its negative impact on SDG 12 at its products end of life by improving the reusability and recyclability of its products. We have developed and implemented improved processes e.g.closed loop to reduce, reuse and recycle raw materials, non-renewable minerals, other inputs and waste.
Performance Data
RecycleIT work with a number of down streamlining partners including Recycling Lives and SER waste management to ensure all our chemicals and waste of managed accordingly
We also reuse our packaging where applicable from cardboard to bubble wrap
In 2022 we have collected over 40k devices reusing over 87% of all equipment collected which in turn reduces waste to our partners
Target
Integrate climate change measures into policies, strategies, and planning
Improve education, awareness raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning.
In 2023 we aim to receive the ‘Green Rose’ award from Low Carbon Energy

We have teamed up with the Ribble and Crow wood to take action on our target

Performance Data
RecycleIT Ltd adopt actions in their business practices that contribute to the goal i.e. Green Rose Review and working with clients to improve sustainability.
We support high level partnerships advocating responsible public policies on climate by extending the lifecycle of IT Equipment.
They also have a commitment to plant hundreds trees related to numbers of IT equipment refurbished and do this in
Last year we panted over 12k trees at our partner sites with the RRT and Crow Wood. Through the trust we also worked with a number of school to educate the youth of tomorrow around the importance of sustainability and reuse
Our Projects
Ribble Rivers Trust
We have teamed up with The Ribble Rivers Trust to clear up our local rivers on our staff volunteer days starting with the River Calder.
Crow Wood
We have adopted a piece of land at Crow Wood in which we will donate thousands of trees over the next 10+ years and save local wildlife.
Our Pledge
Annually RecycleIT receives approximately over 250,000 tons of E-waste on a national scale which we either Refurb, Reuse, or Recycle. We continue with our pledge and STG to extend the lifecycle of all I.T and less than 20% of this volume is classed as end-of-life product with a total of 0% landfill through our downstream partners.
RecycleIT pledge to plant one tree for every one tonne of E-Waste we collect from our clients at our partner sites with the Ribble River Trust and Crow Wood.
Plant 1 tree for every 10 laptops / desktops sold to our clients and customers.
We pledge to plant one tree for every one laptop donated to our refurbishment programme.
We pledge to donate IT equipment on an annual basis to both under privileged adults and children to access I.T. equipment through our charitable partners.
Our Community Donations
Our sustainability programme will see local community schemes and national charities receive donations to under privileged children and adults both locally and on a national scale.
